The Art Glass Produced by Tiffany Studios - An Overview

Comfot Tiffany Louis early in his career was very interested in the production of iridescent color, innovative art glass. In the literature of Tiffany, he notes that research in the development of these techniques, glass production started 1872 in New York. Tiffany had required the assistance of the Italian-educated Venetian glass manufacturer, which he rented. In 1878 the company was Tiffany, Louis C. Some of the types of glass, were manufactured Decorated Glass, Agate, Cyprus, lava, paperweights, glass and aquamarine.

Decorated Glass was in the entire time. The decoration may vary depending on several small lines on a solid background to complex "King Tut" decoration, where almost all of the surface of the piece was swirled with random lines. Some special types of decoration are peacock feathers with eyes, zipper decoration, flower arrangements with various types of stylized leaves and flowers.
