Gentleman's Guide to Greeting Cards

How do women seem to always get it right and men always seem to rush around petrol stations trying to find the perfect card.

By reading our Gentleman's Guide to Greeting Cards, you'll see just how EASY it is to always get the most AMAZING response from every greeting card you send the women in you life. And because they've always gone to so much trouble to find the perfect card, so should you!

We know you have MUCH better things to do than to buy a card for your wife, girlfriend or mother. And we know that most men have been genetically re-engineered to avoid shop and shopping. The results from our recent survey have shown that men in general (not all of you) get card buying wrong and hardly put any thought into the card they buy or the sentiment they convey.

Is it any wonder that 70% of the women in our lives say that they love receiving cards from their men, but they all can tell that the gesture was completely rushed. Only 3% of women surveyed said that the sentiment inside the card was meaningful.

Gentlemen, with a little help you'll always make every card stand out and you'll make sure that every card given is treasured. After all you wouldn't turn up to a dinner date carrying a cheap bottle of wine?

So here's what you need to do:

Step one: Forget all you think you know about cards and the importance of occasions. Cards aren't a waste of money; your partner does care about the greeting cards you give her; they ARE kept long after the occasion has passed; a cheap 'funny' card from the corner shop/petrol station isn't always suitable to acknowledge a special occasion. Finally, ALL occasions are SPECIAL.

Step two: Be prepared. Find a site that will not only sell you greeting cards but also has a host of clever services to help you. Then bookmark that site. Supermarkets are convinient, petrol stations are opened 24/7...but they are not always the best place to find that special card...for that special person.

Step three: Think about using an online reminder service. Let them take the hassle out of having to remember those special dates. That way you'll get a gentle remind you two weeks in advance of any important celebrations or key dates that are approaching.

Step four: Make a little more effort. Some sites have free to use advice pages which are packed with hints and tips on everything from what to write in your greeting card to how to perfectly wrap your gift. Please don't worry, doing it the correct way will actually SAVE you time but more importantly the recipient will be astonished at your greeting or gift giving prowess.

Step five: That's it. Sit back and relax. You'll never have to rush around in a mad panic looking for a suitable card, because if you've chosen an online greeting card store well, the would have taken care of it for you.

If you've ever woken in the middle of the night and just remembered that the next morning is your wife's birthday; if you've ever tried to buy the last overpriced Valentine card on the 12th February or if ever you've had to come up with a lame excuse as to why you don't have a card...then you'll know what we mean. You'll always get the best response from every card you send, you'll always impress with your gift wrapping and they will always know just how special they are to you!

Or you could carry on doing what you've always done. Carry on making it slightly harder for yourself than you really need to. Keep looking at that expectant look on your wife's, girlfriend's or mother's face as the greeting card is handed over, the envelope is opened and that expectant look turning into that knowing smile because at least you remembered. The same look that a puppy gets when it's not behaved as well as it should.

Isn't it about time you got an amazing response from her. Go on, do it for the next occasion and see the difference.

How about you DON'T try and amend my article...but if you do, at least amend it in a way that is still readable and doesn't make me sound like a crazy person on a lap top.
Many thanks.
