5 Best Tips For When Knitting Hurts

If You are like me, when it comes to your knitting, you simply can not leave it alone! No matter how busy my day, there are always a few hours, I leave for my knitting necessarily projects.

Notice, I did not say, "project", as I have many knitted creations, all at the same time. Variety is the spice of life, but it can also be the bane of knitters! So what to do if they not only hurt your fingers, but your back and neck and?

Knitting one of those crafts that are not only fun to do, but unfortunately can lead to some less than desired effects.

A few of these repetitive movements also problems of false sit, arthritis, and the actual style of knitting you do if you believe that!

I know when I was knitting for a long time, if I stop, my fingers can actually feel imprisoned, and my legs are stiff as boards.

So what to do? First, if true medical conditions, ask your doctor what the best solution for you might be otherwise Here are five tips to follow when knitting hurts.

First know how to sit when you knit. It's easy to be too comfortable, left squished into your favorite chair without worry in the world. Then we tend to lean forward too much for our knitting; reminder try to sit up straight, or rest your arms on the arm rests. This will force your body slightly and help you if you do not even think about it.

Second, throw a little gym in there! If at the end of the line, wiggle your fingers again and again and extend your fingers and hands, as you finish a section or before the transfer colors. Make it a habit, and it is second nature. Exercise well done, can mean the difference and help you feel 20 years younger, take it from me!

Third if you suffer from arthritis, try circular knitting needles with more than with straight pins, such as circular needles tend to keep your work more on your lap and the weight of your work from your fingers and arms. Medical gloves help to keep your joints warm, and movement, the eight-hour miracle arthritis wraps, too!

Fourth, knitting is very repetitive. It is definitely not boring, though, as your projects taking shape. Many knitters find that continental knitting is more convenient than the yarn is in the right hand, unlike the English method of knitting, where the yarn in the left hand. Experiment for yourself which method is the easiest for you.

Fifth, as much as I hate to say it, give knitting a break! Arghhhhh .... there, I said it! If you really addicted, then knit smaller projects, such as dish towels, Booties, baby blankets and easier to use yarn rather than the bulky or Chunky yarns. It can be very difficult to knit with it. Then, in addition to knitting, try other activities, fine motor, too.

I know how we age, our bodies change as well, but, where there is a will there is a way to knit .... ... even if it hurts!
