Back to School - Shopping Tips

Back to School sales seem to start almost as soon as your children leave school for the summer. For parents, these sales are one of the best ways to save money and save big. Let's take a look at some of the possibilities for you to realize savings in preparation to send your children to school.

1 Sales. Yes, Back to School sales are still a real bargain for the parents. The national retail chains such as Walmart, Target, Sears, JC Penney, Kmart and all the running, so now do, "pharmacy chains include: CVS, Walgreens, and Eckerds. The former group of shops are the most popular shop for clothes and bookbags, while the second group will rate cut school supplies.

2 U.S. dollars Stores. Almost every city in America, the "one-dollar" stores, where everything is, you guessed it, sold for a dollar. Many of these stores are hit or miss as far as what they wear or what they have available. Some items, even at a dollar, are much more expensive than those found "for sale" in regelmaigen retailers.

3 Close outs. May your children protest, but the close stores - Odd Lots and Big Lots to name two - Article your family can use. Certainly, the clothes can escape from the kind, but lunchboxes, pens, stationary, bookbags, and the like are generally not.

4 Hand Me Downs. Big bro or sis can have a great article of clothing or objects that are no longer used. If they are gently worn /used examine past these things to your younger kids.

5 Garage and yard sales. Your child's Lunchbox or computers can be found in your neighbor's sale rather than a retailer. Expect that prices for 50-90% less than the full membership retail.

6 Consignment shops. Did someone say, Salvation Army ? Okay, that's a little stretch. Your children will probably cry if you take them to a consignment shop, you can. More than likely, what you buy for your personal use. Use the savings to buy Nike shoes for your sophomore.

7 Tax Free weeks. If you live in an area with high sales taxes on clothing, wait for a special "tax-free week" to come to save money when buying. New York City, for example, is one of the cities with a tax free week. At 8.25%, this particularly high sales tax rate figures often causes people to flee the city and drive to New Jersey, where there is no tax on clothing. Save gas, tolls, and time and prop up your local economy through the waiting list for this special weeks.

There are other ways to help you save money school supplies including online shopping or by buying in bulk. Back to school should not mean back into debt , if you buy carefully and wisely.
