Trash To Treasures - 10 Tips For A Successful Garage Sale

Spring cleaning is a wonderful achievement. Everything is fresh and clean. Is not it feel good? But what do you do with all the opportunities and ends excavated from your closets and recesses of the back of the garage?

Making a few pennies holding a garage /yard sale could be just the ticket. After a series of successful sales over the years, here are some of my favorite tips for the best use of your time and effort:

1) When choosing what to sell, not the things to find out what you think will sell. Try everything to sell. One person's junk is a treasure. Also defective equipment can be sold for parts.

2) Do not throw your old magazines - stick them all in a box and sell it for a quarter piece.

3) Think "save" if the institution. Try to think how traffic patterns to rummage customers would walk around your garage or driveway.

4) Arrange the tables by categories: All things on a kitchen table, on a different bedding, clothing on another, gift article , jewelry besides a mirror, etc. Decide in advance which categories you have, and then sort accordingly.

5) Instead of pricing each garment individually with a large easy-to-read sign on the table. Something like: "All clothes 50 cents each or 3 for $ 1 (unless otherwise indicated)."

6) play background music while people are buying. You want your clients to relax ... Shop ... Your time ... Enjoy the process. Probably an easy-listening station plays familiar songs from the 70's and 80's would ideal.

7) Make people feel comfortable and welcome. I have so many garage sales, where the people of the sale just sat there and glared at you, as you can get. Make sure to smile and graen warmly everyone.

8) For these large colorful signs in the city, some of the individual elements for sale: Tools, baby equipment, clothing, household goods, collectibles, etc. And do not forget your signs after the sale of over.

9) Stock on bags from the store, so you can pocket up purchases for customers with armloads of small items.

10) If your goal is to clear as much as possible, By addressing a great offer on the afternoon of the last day, like: "Everything you can things in a shopping bag for $ 1" or "half-price on all items after 12 pm on Sunday."

By thinking and planning ahead, it is possible your garage sale in a high profit, sociable, and entertaining way to spend a sunny spring weekend.
