Bird Carving As a Specialty in Wood Carving

Today in the world of specialization, we no longer regard someone as a medical doctor, but as an allergist or pediatrician or any other form of specialisation in the medical field. This is true of many professions, trade and other aspects of our world today. Specialization is also true for the arts and crafts in general and for the woodcarving or sculpture art in particular. Those who specializes in carving fish belong to the National Fish Carvers Guild, and a number of other organizations offer specially for fish carvers.

Similarly some wood carvers do nothing but carve birds and any other objects or figures. The first magazine for the bird carving fraternity is the Wildfowl Carving magazine. Many bird carvers carving bird belong to groups and organizations like the International Association Wildfowl Carvers and others. Even those who carve birds are divided into subcategories specialties such as stylized bird carvers, visualize a bird in the form of cereal and a piece of wood. Another group is decoy carvers, duplicate, ducks, coastal birds and sea birds for the purpose of using them to attract birds on the hunting blinds for sport hunting.
