Advantages of Rural Life

Growing on a farm near a small town, I can not imagine a better life everywhere! We were a close knit family to spend all our waking hours together, work, play and pray together.

As I look back, the benefits far outweigh any disadvantage, I would encounter. Imagine living in the countryside 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

The work is hard, but met the opposition and weather can be unpredictable, the rain, where the planting and harvesting, making it difficult until the end of the work, and never be shown when the plants are in need, it can be quite frustrating !

There is no better feeling than plowing a field, planting crops and spend the summer caring for them to see they grow. The crop is harvested, together with the monetary rewards to the satisfaction of knowing that God and I were partners in the production of food for the world market eat.

Small city is a life the opportunity to care for the animals, help with their Birth, they grow, feed and nurse them back to health when one of them is sick. It is never a shortage of pets, from dogs and cats to horses, cows, sheep and even lambs.

Living and in a small rural environment, gives one the sense of community, each part of your family, the people are concerned about each other far more than if living in a large metropolis. Neighbours look out for each other, care for their property when away, and percentage of the everyday needs and desires of the individual other.

Crime is practically non-existent, with the neighbors, so close and involved, no stranger can go unnoticed. I remember while growing up, we never closed our doors! When it came time to sell the family farm, the house keys could not even be found!

As a child playing in the stream, with tadpoles, fish and turtles, you have little time to think about the lack of entertainment or excitement. The entire hood neighbouring cares about each other, children have a hard time in difficulty, people know each other for miles, no matter what they are trying to do, they know someone will see them. Her parents always find out what you have done, even before you remember home.

I feeling sorry for my cousins, lived in the city, I always felt they were not missing something with the life I had!

I Suppose the downside of life in a rural area would be the lack of shops and restaurants, but with the Internet you can shop from anywhere and have quality goods directly to your home by UPS.

The shortage of restaurants is by far offset by sampling some of Grandma 's cooking on a Sunday or on the local church festivals!

All in all, there is no better place for a child to grow than in a small rural area.
